Al-Ittihad Saudi Club announced late on Sunday that player Abdulilah Hawsawi has joined Al-Ettifaq during the current summer transfer window.
The summer transfer market in the Saudi League is scheduled to close on Sunday evening, with Al-Ettifaq successfully securing Hawsawi to strengthen their midfield.
Al-Ittihad's official account on the "X" platform stated: "The club's management has approved Al-Ettifaq's request to sign player Abdulilah Hawsawi on loan until the end of the current season."
The 25-year-old is not part of German coach Jens Wissing's plans, having not featured in any official match this season, prompting the player to seek a move in order to secure regular playing time.
Hawsawi was previously loaned out on three occasions to Al-Jeddah, Al-Taawoun, and Al-Khaleej, with his most notable stint being at Al-Khaleej, which led Al-Hilal officials to attempt signing him before Al-Ittihad's management renewed his contract and retained his services.
Hawsawi appeared in only 15 matches wearing Al-Ittihad's jersey, failing to score and providing just one assist.
Al-Ittihad secured a valuable 2-0 victory over Al-Nasr on Saturday evening at Al-Inma Stadium, concluding Matchday 5 of the Saudi League.
Al-Ittihad currently sits in fourth place with 11 points, four points behind league leaders Al-Hilal, who have a perfect record after five matches.
