Foreign media reports have revealed the next step in the career of Kwasi Sebo, the former Real Oviedo player, as the midfield star is set to return to Africa once again.

Sebo had previously left Real Oviedo in Spain, attracting interest from several clubs, especially following his participation with the Ghana national team in the 2026 World Cup.

Rahman Osman, a journalist at The Sun (UK), clarified days ago that Al-Ahly Club had submitted an offer to Kwasi Sebo worth 1.5 million euros per season; however, the player preferred to continue his professional experience in Europe.

The Ghanaian newspaper AB Media reported that Sebo has finalized his transfer to Libya's Al-Swehli Club during the current summer, having undergone necessary medical examinations in Cairo, Egypt, over the past few hours.

The report explained that Sebo's transfer deal to Al-Swehli witnessed numerous developments after negotiations with a Turkish league club stalled, before he received an attractive financial offer from the Libyan champions. He then hesitated to complete the deal and held consultations with his family, ultimately receiving a final deadline to decide.

The report indicated that by August, Turkey's Gençlerbirliği Club appeared to be the closest destination for the Ghanaian player, as both parties reached a preliminary agreement on a two-year contract with the possibility of extending it for a third season. However, the deal was not completed because the club changed its plans by signing another African player.

It added that following the collapse of negotiations with the Turkish club, Libya's Al-Swehli entered the race strongly, presenting a massive financial offer to the player, with a total salary reaching $10 million.

The report continued: "Although reports differ regarding the duration and details of the proposed contract, the substantial financial value of the offer has made Sebo's transfer to Al-Swehli one of the most anticipated deals for the Ghanaian player."

The report concluded that Kwasi Sebo arrived yesterday, Monday, in Cairo, Egypt, where Al-Swehli is based in preparation for the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, as the deal has now reached its final stages.
