Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club announced the signing of former Al-Ahly player Malek Yasser to its basketball team.
In an official statement released today, Wednesday, Al-Ittihad Alexandria said: "The club's board of directors has completed the contracting procedures with former Al-Ahly player Malek Yasser Aboul Fotouh for a one-season deal."
It added: "Malek signed his transfer contracts to join the ranks of the Pride of Alexandria following a meeting held with him after finalizing all details."
It further clarified: "During this meeting, all contractual details were agreed upon, with the contract set to expire at the end of the 2026–2027 sports season. The player arrived today in the city of Alexandria."
The club's statement noted that Malek is proficient in playing the center positions (4) and (5).
Malek Yasser had previously joined Al-Ahly last February and departed at the end of the season.
