Mohamed Shawky, the head coach of ZED FC's first football team, announced the lineup for the match against AS Djibouti in the first leg of the preliminary round of the 2026–2027 CAF Confederation Cup.
ZED FC (making its continental debut) will face AS Djibouti at 8:00 PM today, Sunday, in Cairo, as part of the Round of 64 first-leg matches of the CAF Confederation Cup.
This marks ZED FC's first-ever participation in the CAF Confederation Cup, having qualified as runners-up in last season's Egypt Cup after losing to Pyramids FC.
Mohamed Shawky is fielding his strongest squad in today's match aiming to secure an early advantage in Cairo before traveling to Djibouti for the return leg next week.
ZED FC's lineup against AS Djibouti is as follows:

Defense: Sameh Ibrahim – Abdullah Bakri – Mohamed Ezz – Moussa Mohamed.

The return leg between ZED FC and AS Djibouti is scheduled for next Saturday, September 12, in Djibouti. The winner of this tie will advance to face Tanzania's Azam United in the second preliminary round (Round of 32).
Meanwhile, ZED FC has played three matches so far this season, all in the league: they drew 0–0 with Wadi Degla in Round 1, lost 0–2 to Al-Ahly in Round 2, and then defeated Tala'ea El-Gaish 1–0 in Round 3.
