The Egyptian Football Association issued a statement clarifying that what is being circulated in the media on the tongue of responsible sources from the association does not represent it.
The Football Association's statement came as follows: "The Egyptian Football Association affirms that it has not issued any statements or official responses to the statements or declarations issued by any club, entity, or body during the past few days".
It added, "The Association stresses that what is being circulated in the media of responses or statements attributed to 'sources in the Football Association' does not represent the Association's official position, unless issued through the Association's official and legitimate channels".
It continued, "The Football Association affirms that any position, response, or clarification in the name of the Association is not to be considered valid unless issued officially through its approved channels, and that any other statements or opinions circulated in the media express only their owners and their personal views, and do not represent the position of the Association or its board of directors".
It concluded, "Therefore, the Football Association is not concerned with any responses that have not been issued officially by it, and what has not been issued through its official channels cannot be considered a position of the Association".
