The Football Association issued an official statement responding to reports of an official reply to any statements or declarations issued by some clubs or entities during the past hours.
Al-Ahly Club had issued a statement during the past hours, expressing its objection to the appointment of Essam Abdel Fattah as head of the Referees Committee, in addition to its astonishment at statements by some former Referees Committee officials regarding refereeing errors that occurred during one of the matches.

Social media circulated responses quoted from official sources within the Football Association in reply to Al-Ahly Club’s latest statement, prompting the Football Association to issue an official statement on the matter.
In an official statement, the Egyptian Football Association confirms that it has not issued any statements or official responses during the past few days to statements or declarations issued by any club, entity, or body.
The statement added: “The Association stresses that any responses or statements attributed to sources within the Football Association circulating in the media do not represent the Association’s official position unless issued through the Association’s official and legitimate channels.”
The Football Association affirms that any position, response, or clarification issued in its name shall not be considered valid unless officially released through its approved channels, and that any other statements or opinions circulated in the media express only the views of their authors and do not represent the position of the Association or its board of directors.
The statement concluded: “Therefore, the Football Association is not concerned with any responses not officially issued by it, and anything not issued through its official channels cannot be regarded as a position of the Association.”
