German coach Hansi Flick, manager of Barcelona, was awarded the La Liga Best Coach of the Month for September, after leading the Catalan team to perfect results during the month, as announced by the La Liga association on Tuesday.
Barcelona delivered a strong performance in September, winning all four of their Spanish league matches since the beginning of the current month, continuing their powerful start and maintaining their lead at the top of the standings.
The team began the month with a big victory over Valencia 5-0 at Mestalla Stadium, before defeating Levante away from home 4-2.
Barcelona continued its strong attacking displays by beating Racing Santander 7-2 at Camp Nou, then concluded its matches during the month with an away win against Sevilla 3-1.
During these four matches, Barcelona scored 19 goals, confirming the offensive strength possessed by the team under Flick's leadership, alongside maintaining its winning streak in the competition.
This is the first time Flick has received the Manager of the Month award this season, having surpassed Diego Simeone, Atlético Madrid's coach, and Manuel Pellegrini, Real Betis' coach, in the final voting.
Flick's award comes weeks after he received the La Liga Best Coach award for the 2025-2026 season, having led Barcelona to retain the league title for the second consecutive season.
Flick continues to lead Barcelona in a strong contest for the La Liga title, thanks to the team's perfect start, sitting atop the standings with a full points tally (21 points from 7 matches).
