Barcelona coach Hans Flick praised the level shown by Egyptian international striker Hamza Abdel Karim in the friendly match against Birmingham.
Hamza Abdel Karim scored two goals in the match that Barcelona lost 3-2 on penalties after the original time ended in a 2-2 draw.
Hans Flick said in a press conference: "Hamza Abdel Karim? From what I sense, he has a good personality and a good mentality. He always gives his best every day, and that is truly wonderful. As I said before, he has great and enormous potential."
He stressed, "The striker must be in the right place; if an opportunity arises inside the penalty area, you must be present. This is what he did in this match, and I think that will give him great confidence in the coming weeks."
