Bulgarian coach Ivaylo Petev, one of the coaches whose name has been linked to Zamalek Club, revealed the truth regarding the existence of negotiations between him and the club to coach the team in the upcoming period.
Petev's first comment on his negotiations with Zamalek
Petev said in exclusive statements to Yalla Koura: "There has been no contact from Zamalek Club with me to take over coaching the team, and everything related to this matter is incorrect".
Zamalek's name has been linked to many coaches in the last few hours, most notably the Bulgarian Petev, who previously coached the Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria national teams.
Zamalek is seeking to sign a new technical director, after settling on the departure of Moataz Jamal, following a distinguished stint the coach had with the team in the last season.
On another front, Zamalek is close to settling on holding a preparatory camp in Turkey, while ruling out holding the camp inside Egypt.
Zamalek wants to prepare its players in the best possible manner for the upcoming season, which will see the team participate in the African Champions League, once it obtains the African license, given that the team won the Premier League title last season.
