The Algerian Mounsef Bekkar, the new Al Ahly striker, spoke about joining the Red Castle, noting that he feels immense pride in being at the Club of the Century in Africa.
Al Ahly had completed the signing of Mounsef Bekkar on a three-season deal in the ongoing summer transfer window, arriving from Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb.
Bekkar said in a video on Al Ahly’s official page: “Welcome to the great Al Ahly fans, I am proud to join the Red Castle, the Club of the Century in Africa that is always present at the Club World Cup.”

He added: “I did not hesitate for a moment to join Al Ahly; I have great confidence and a great responsibility toward the Red Giant fans. God willing, we will win many titles in the coming period.”
He continued: “Al Ahly’s history is great; Al Ahly is the past, the present and the future. My goal is to create glory with Al Ahly and always be on the podiums.”
It is noted that Al Ahly succeeded in signing three other players in the current summer transfer window besides Mounsef Bekkar: Moroccan Sofiane Benjdida and the duo Oktay Abdullah and Ali Mahmoud from Enppi.
