Mahmoud Salah, the player who recently transferred to Al Ahly Club's ranks, expressed his great happiness at moving to the Reds, indicating that he will do everything in his power to please the fans.
Al Ahly Club had announced this morning, Friday, its signing of Mahmoud Salah, coming from Ghazl El Mahalla, on a contract extending for 5 seasons, as part of bolstering the ranks of the youth and first teams during the current summer transfer window.
Mahmoud Salah said in official statements after completing the deal: "Certainly, any player would be happy to transfer to Al Ahly, as it is a big club, the best in Africa, and the Club of the Century."
The left winger added: "Moving to Al Ahly represents for me the fulfillment of my ambition and my family's ambition, and God willing, I will be able to achieve something for Al Ahly."
Regarding the negotiations with Al Ahly, he said: "My brother was the one handling this matter, and from time to time I would ask him how far the talks had progressed, and I was very happy as soon as I learned there were negotiations from Al Ahly officials.. My father was following the news of the negotiations via Facebook."
Regarding the competition with Al Ahly players, he said: "It will certainly be tough, as these stars I was watching on television recently, and I used to dream of playing with them, and now I am competing to play in one of their positions."
He continued: "I will be very happy when I am at Mokhtar El Tetsh Stadium for the team's training, and I will not believe I am at a historic stadium like El Tetsh, and a historic club like Al Ahly."
Mahmoud Salah concluded his statements by saying: "My message to the fans? God willing, I will present something new for you, and help the team on the pitch with the rest of my teammates, and we will do our utmost in every competition, and we will play every match as if it were a final."
