The technical staff of Al Ahly Club continues to arrange its affairs in preparation for next season's competitions.
Al Ahly contracted with Moroccan Hussein Ammouta to coach the team for two seasons.
July 16 of this month is the final deadline for submitting the preliminary lists for Egyptian League teams.
It was learned FilGoal.com that Al Ahly is considering the new season's squad as follows:
- There is no intention to reinforce the goalkeeper position even if Mustafa Shobier leaves for a foreign club.
Al Ahly's squad includes the quartet: Mustafa Shobier, Mohamed El Shenawy, Mohamed Ahmed "Shiha", and Hamza Alaa.
- Al Ahly wants to reinforce its defense but is looking for a player with specific attributes, and there is a view to giving opportunities to the duo Moataz Mohamed and Ahmed Abdeen
- It has been decided to loan out the duo Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed and Ahmed Eid or release them permanently
- Mustafa Al Ash's loan to Al Masry will be renewed, and Omar Al Saai will join him as his chances of staying with the team do not exceed 5%
- There is a possibility that Mohamed Magdy "Afsha" will remain for next season after his departure had been planned
- Akram Tawfik remains in Al Ahly's calculations despite Qatari club Al Shamal's desire to terminate his contract. The player wants to receive the full $1.2 million value of his contract, but the Qatari club only wants to give him $600,000
- Hussein Ammouta is insisting on keeping Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane and abandoning the idea of selling him to Qatari club Al Shamal
- Mohamed Sherif's chances of remaining with Al Ahly are very slim
- The three foreign players returning from loan, Ashraf Dari, Reda Slim, and Christo, have been decided to be released even if Al Ahly has to terminate their contracts and settle their dues
- Al Ahly plans to sign a foreign winger and another foreign striker, in addition to Algerian Monsef Bakir
- Obtaining Spanish visas has nothing to do with securing a spot on the squad or not, and visas were obtained for all players as a routine procedure as happened with Trézéguet who left the team
Al Ahly is expected to travel to Spain to hold a training camp in preparation for the new season.
