FilGoal News - Al-Ahly starts from the round of 32.. and the Egyptian trio participates continentally from the first preliminary round

Al Ahly will avoid participating in the first preliminary round of the Confederation according to what

learned FilGoal.com, while Zamalek, Pyramids and Z begin their continental journey early.

The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced the date of the draw for the African Champions League and Confederation Cup for the 2026-27 season. (See details)

And FilGoal.com learned that Zamalek and Pyramids will participate in the first preliminary round of the African Champions League.

Sundowns, Al-Taraji and Nahdet Berkane will be exempted from participating in that stage and the trio will start from the second round as they are the highest ranked.

Al Ahly will begin its Confederation journey from the round of 32, while Z participates in the first preliminary round.

The first preliminary round matches are expected to be held next September.

First leg 4-5-6 September, and second leg 11-12-13 September.

The second preliminary round matches will be held next October.

First leg 16-17-18 October and second leg 23-24-25 October.

The group stage of the African Champions League and Confederation Cup is expected to begin next November. (See full schedule)
