The league is scheduled to kick off on August 21.
The Egyptian league will be held with the participation of 20 teams in the upcoming season.
The competition will start with a single round-robin system, then the top 6 teams will compete in a title contention group, while the rest of the teams compete to avoid relegation.
Four teams will be relegated to the second division at the end of the season, with three teams promoted in their place, making the league consist of 19 teams in the 2027/2028 season.
The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association re-elected Ahmed Diab as its president by acclamation to continue in his position.
The clubs association elections were held and the new formation of the association was approved by acclamation.
