Ahmed Fattouh, star of Zamalek Club and the Egyptian national team, confirmed that Hossam Hassan was keen to study the Pharaohs' opponents in the 2026 World Cup with great precision, touching on the behind-the-scenes details of his relationship with Mohamed Salah, captain of the national team.
Ahmed Fattouh said in statements via MBC Egypt channel: "Captain Hossam does not leave any details during training or lectures, he studies every team well, so that we know the strengths and weaknesses of each opponent".
He continued: "Between the halves of each match, Hossam Hassan uses clips of us through performance analyst Mahmoud Selim, to review notes and correct mistakes".
He added: "Mohamed Hany is a big player, and he is not affected by the criticisms directed at him, and we did not talk to him after the goal against Australia, because the matter is normal and any player is prone to making mistakes, and I used to love Messi but I no longer love him after his match against us".
He continued: "Captain Hossam loves to win, he does not have something called loss, and sometimes he gets angry but there is no hitting or anything, Mohamed Salah does everything I want for me, I do not like breakfast or waking up early, and he rests anyone".
He added: "Salah was suffering from fatigue in the back, and he could not continue, and he got rest for several days, and if there were no substitutions, Salah would have continued the match just as I did".
He pointed out: "Zamalek will receive financial compensation due to my injury in the World Cup, and the old positions I took are what make some people criticize me".
He added: "Zamalek fined me one million pounds in the crisis of my attendance at Ragheb Alama's concert, Imam tricked me and told me no one would film us, and no penalty was imposed on him because he was injured and on vacation, and my uncle was indeed sick but after that I went to the concert".
He continued: "Zizo is a tough player in training, but he also appeared as a big player in the matches, and we knew that Haitham Hassan would shine in the matches, because that also appeared in the training, and there was a problem that delayed his participation".
The Egyptian national team player said: "I hope to play with Imam and Abdel Moneim, and that Zizo is also in my team and Marmoush is a big player and we did not feel that he is selfish, and his presence on the field makes the difference, even if he is not successful in some matches, and Marmoush is not very affected by criticisms".
