Farouk Gaafar, former star of Zamalek Club, confirmed that his son Seif, a player in the first team of the White Castle, is training separately after the club had wished for his departure during the final days of the transfer window.
Farouk Gaafar stated in interviews on MBC Masr 2 channel: "I only intervened in Seif's matter a week ago, after he was registered in the first list without any issues."
He continued: "Days before the start of the league, I was surprised to learn that the club informed Seif of their desire for him to leave, either by mutual agreement or through a loan deal."
He clarified: "Captain Abdel Nasser Mohamed, the football director, spoke with me, and I told him that this timing is inappropriate because all clubs have finalized their squads, and Zamalek itself is suffering from a registration ban."
He added: "A player's departure must have reasons. Abdel Nasser Mohamed told me, 'People in the club see it this way.' I responded that this statement is illogical. We did not discuss any financial dues, and Helmy Tawlan is following up on the matter with Motamed Gamal."
He continued: "Seif is normally included in the squad list. I spoke with Captain Hussein Labib, who told me he would respond to me, but I don't know what the issue is. Seif is not training with the team; instead, he trains at exactly 1:00 PM with a private coach."
He concluded: "I urge Seif to train normally. Perhaps he has angered some club officials in some way. I told Abdel Nasser Mohamed that if his own son were in this situation, would he accept him undergoing separate training at 1:00 PM away from the club?"
