The technical staff of Al-Ahly Club, led by Hussein Amouta, informed the first-team football player at the Red Castle of his departure and not registering him in the team's squad for the new 2026-2027 season.
Al-Ahly Club, under the new technical leadership of Moroccan Hussein Amouta, is preparing to compete strongly in all the tournaments in which the Red Giant participates in the new season, after exiting with a zero season last year.
A source told Botolat: "The technical staff of Al-Ahly Club decided to dispense with the team player Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed, the player was informed of not registering him in the team's ranks for the new season".
Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed had joined Al-Ahly's ranks in January of the 2024 season coming from Future Club (currently Modern Sport), winning 4 titles with the Red Giant: the African Champions League, the Egyptian League, the Egypt Cup, and the Super Cup.
On the other hand, Al-Ahly Club had played two friendly matches against Cairo's Nasr and Laviena and won them, and is preparing to face Petroleum Assiut and Delphi friendly also on Wednesday, before the expected match against Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Cup, on Wednesday, August 19.
