Journalistic reports revealed the latest developments in the Rodri deal, Manchester City star, and his potential transfer to the ranks of Barcelona team, during the current summer transfer season for the year 2026.
Barcelona is striving hard to conclude the Rodri deal during the summer transfer window, especially after obtaining a word from the player to transfer to "Camp Nou" where he rejected the idea of transferring to Real Madrid.
Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" stated that Rodri's transfer deal to Barcelona has become imminent, as the Spanish league title holders reached an agreement with the player, and negotiations with Manchester City are in their final stages.
It clarified that an agreement has been reached on a deal consisting of a fixed financial amount, along with variables that satisfy both parties, while only a few details remain before the official announcement.

It reported that talks between Barcelona and Manchester City clubs have reached their final stages thanks to narrowing the large gap between the English club's demands and the offer submitted by its Catalan counterpart.
It pointed out that despite the statements made by Enzo Maresca on Sunday, in which he confirmed Rodri's joining the team on August 14, he may be available to coach Hans Flick that week.
Hans Flick hopes that Rodri will be at his disposal with the rest of the players joining the team's final preparatory training for the new season.
