Media reports in the last few hours revealed the possibility that Fenerbahce player Omar Fayed’s transfer to Al Ahly this summer could be stalled, amid a European club’s pursuit to sign the young defender.
Omar Fayed spent the past season on loan from Fenerbahce with the Portuguese club Arouca, and it is difficult for the 23-year-old player to secure a starting spot with the Turkish team next season.

It was reported that Al Ahly has entered serious negotiations with Fenerbahce’s management to sign Omar Fayed during the current summer transfer window.
However, according to Turkish journalist "Sercan Hamzaoğlu", Frosinone club, which has returned to the Italian Serie A, has submitted an official offer to sign Omar Fayed this summer.
Negotiations between Frosinone and Fenerbahce regarding Omar Fayed are ongoing, which could disrupt the player’s transfer to Al Ahly.
Omar Fayed is 23 years old and possesses excellent abilities in both building attacks and defensively, which could make him a good addition to Al Ahly, which has not found a replacement for Mohamed Abdelmonem, who left for Nice two years ago.
