Essam Siraj, the Contracts Director at Al-Ahly Club, revealed behind-the-scenes details of some transfers concluded for the first team at the Red Castle in recent times.

Siraj said on Al-Ahly TV: "Ayman El-Sherei initially requested very high figures in the sale deals of Ali Mahmoud and Aqtay. He is extremely busy as he is a businessman, but I convinced him to accept the financial value set by Al-Ahly Club for player acquisitions. He understood the matter, and I greatly thank him for his understanding and agreement."

He continued: "We signed Mahmoud Salah from Ghazl El-Mehalla without exceeding the figure specified by Al-Ahly Club in the deal, because having similar rates in player purchases benefits all clubs, not just Al-Ahly."

He added: "Al-Ahly is trying to regulate the rhythm in the transfer market, and El-Sherei agreed to that, as did the chairman of Ghazl El-Mehalla. The same applied in the deal for Tawfik Mohamed from Petrojet."

He continued: "We sold players to Al-Masry Club at figures close to those used in purchasing the new signings. Therefore, I thank Kamel Abu Ali for his cooperation, as he has always been open to collaboration."

He added: "We hope all club chairmen will cooperate with Al-Ahly; we will buy at a certain figure and sell at a similar one, which serves everyone's interest."

He concluded: "A player joining Al-Ahly sees his market value change. I have worked with several technical directors at Al-Ahly, and no coach imposes his opinion or insists on a player whose club demands an excessively high financial amount. Ultimately, the coach expresses his opinion and provides a technical decision."
