Essam Abd El-Fattah, head of the Referees Committee at the Egyptian Football Association, responded to allegations of a crisis with Al-Ahly Club, noting that there will be a cultural surprise regarding referees unmatched anywhere in the world.
Abd El-Fattah stated in televised remarks on "Al-Shams" channel: "Full appreciation to Al-Ahly Club and all Egyptian clubs; we will maintain equal distance from everyone. There will be a cultural surprise concerning referees unprecedented globally."
He added: "We aim to open a new chapter for Egyptian football. There will be no favoritism toward referees. Those who exert effort will receive our support to succeed, while those who slack off will be excluded. Anyone officiating in the Premier League must be fully prepared."
Abd El-Fattah continued: "Each subcommittee will include an accredited lecturer alongside training sessions. We are racing against time because we have fallen behind."
He further remarked: "There is absolutely no interference in refereeing matters. I ask people for patience; grant us three months, after which the public can speak and judge us."

He continued: "The new Referees Committee includes prominent figures. We extend our hands to everyone without exception. We request confidence in Egyptian refereeing. We will discuss our mistakes openly, never deny them, and publicly announce errors to ensure we proceed correctly."
He elaborated: "Penalties for those who err will be strict. Referee performance analysis will occur every week or two. Whether video technology is purchased or leased makes no difference to me; what matters is developing our referees."
He concluded: "Our sons, the referees, honored us at the World Cup. Amin Omar, son of Egypt, and Gamal Al-Ghandour's approval of his presence on the committee represent a great honor."
