Mohamed Yahya, assistant coach of Sharqia Enppi, explained the reason behind the team's retreat into defense against Al-Ahly, emphasizing that the club operates under a system and will not be halted by the departure of one or two players.

Sharqia Enppi lost their first match of the season 3-2 to Al-Ahly despite leading by two unanswered goals.

The assistant coach attended the press conference after head coach Mohamed Barakat was sent off in the final minutes of the match.

During the press conference, the Sharqia Enppi assistant coach stated: "We delivered a great performance against Al-Ahly, the African champions. The team will improve in the coming period, and we will achieve victories."

He added, "Sharqia Enppi Club operates under a systematic approach. We have a structure built upon a very large youth sector, not just Aqtay and Ali Mahmoud."

He continued, "The club is capable of replacing departed players. We are closely monitoring our youth talents and preparing them to join the first team."

He further stated, "Mohamed Barakat began his coaching career 6-7 years ago with Wadi Degla. Despite his young age, he possesses extensive experience and has the qualities needed to compete with Al-Ahly, as demonstrated today."

Responding to the possibility of playing matches at Zagazig Stadium, he said: "This is a decision for the management. Once the stadium is ready, we will play our matches there."

He concluded, "Team collapse? It was not a collapse. Retreating into defense does not equate to collapse. However, we must remain realistic; it is not wise to leave our lines open against the opponent. The penalty kick significantly affected the team due to its timing."
