The Elite Referees Camp kicked off today, Sunday, under the supervision of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), with the participation of 35 referees from the Premier League, running from October 4 to 8.

The camp comes as part of efforts to develop the level of Egyptian referees and enhance their technical and physical capabilities, helping them manage local and international matches with the highest possible efficiency.

The camp's program includes a number of theoretical lectures, along with practical and physical training sessions, aimed at raising the referees' readiness and strengthening their abilities in various aspects related to match management.

The start of the camp was marked by welcoming remarks from Essam Abdel-Fattah, former FIFA Technical Instructor and Chairman of the Referees Committee at the Egyptian Football Association, alongside Malawian international instructor Mark Mazengo, FIFA Fitness Instructor.

The duo emphasized the importance of holding such camps in developing the Egyptian refereeing system and improving referee efficiency, particularly through benefiting from the technical and scientific expertise provided throughout the camp days.

Participating referees are undergoing an integrated program combining theoretical, practical, and physical aspects, contributing to better preparing them for upcoming commitments during the coming period.
