Egyptian Premier League clubs are preparing to compete in the third round of the tournament, amid early competition for the top of the standings, after four clubs managed to secure a perfect record in the first two rounds.
The third round matches will take place starting today, Monday, August 31, 2026, and continuing until next Thursday, September 3.
Pyramids FC tops the Egyptian Premier League standings with 6 points, ahead of Al Ahly in second place on goal difference, followed by El Masry in third, and Tala'ea El Gaish in fourth, all with the same number of points.
Zamalek is in fifth place with 4 points, having won one match and drawn another, while Modern Sport, Wadi Degla, and El Qanah also have 4 points each, intensifying the battle for the top positions at the start of the season.
The third round is expected to feature important matches for the leading clubs, most notably Zamalek's match against Mansouria, as well as Al Ahly's match against Smouha, while Pyramids FC, El Masry, and Tala'ea El Gaish aim to maintain their perfect start.
