Egypt's U-2009 national team concluded its training session this afternoon in Geneva, Switzerland, in preparation for the match against Canada, which marks the end of their campaign in the International Friendship Tournament.
The Egypt vs. Canada match is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, at 4:00 PM Cairo time, to determine the fifth-place finisher in the tournament.
Hussein Abdel Latif, the head coach of the national team, aims to give playing opportunities to as many players as possible during the match against Canada. The starting lineup is expected to include several players who have not had the chance to start in previous matches, according to the coach's vision.
Egypt finished third in their group after suffering two defeats against England and Colombia, both by a score of 2-1.
Meanwhile, they secured a victory against South Korea via penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw in regular time.
Under the tournament rules, the team winning on penalties earns two points, while the losing side receives only one point.
The Egyptian youth team, led by Hussein Abdel Latif, is preparing for the FIFA U-17 World Cup scheduled to be held in Qatar next November.
