Mustafa Abdel Raouf Ziko, a player for the Egyptian national team, expressed his great happiness with the victory achieved by the Pharaohs over South Sudan in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Egyptian national team defeated its host, South Sudan, five goals to nil, in the match that took place between the two teams on Tuesday evening at Juba Stadium, as part of the second round of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

He added, regarding the scorer of the first goal in the match: "The conditions were extremely difficult, as the temperature was very high. Our feet were literally melting due to the tartan surface of the pitch, combined with the rising temperatures."
The Pyramids FC player continued: "The technical staff worked well with us after the end of the Angola match, urging us to focus in order to achieve victory against South Sudan and help ourselves collect points."
He completed: "It was not acceptable to lose points in two consecutive matches, so praise be to God, we managed to achieve a big victory with five goals. This is a positive result for us, although we wanted to increase the number of goals even more than that."
Mustafa Abdel Raouf Ziko concluded his statements saying: "We have closed this page, and we have a friendly match against South Africa. We do not differentiate between a friendly or an official match; we focus on achieving a positive result and ending the camp on a good note."
Egypt had started its campaign in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, with a draw against Angola at Cairo International Stadium.
