Press reports revealed Tottenham's desire to sign a new striker during the upcoming winter transfer window of the current 2026/2027 season, due to Egyptian star Omar Marmoush's poor goal-scoring form.
Tottenham Hotspur sits in 19th place with two points, facing significant misfortune in most of their matches, having failed to score any goals except in their last game against Aston Villa.
Omar Marmoush joined Tottenham last summer on loan from Manchester City, with an option to buy.
The Egyptian striker is experiencing considerable bad luck at Tottenham, as the English club has not yet achieved a Premier League win, and Marmoush himself has not scored any goals.

According to "tothelaneandback," a website specializing in covering Tottenham news, the Spurs wish to sign Nicolo Tresoldi, the Belgian Club Brugge talent.
It reported that the English club's consideration of signing a new striker in the upcoming January transfers stems from insufficient exploitation of opportunities presented during matches.
It stated that Omar Marmoush has struggled greatly to make his mark at Tottenham so far, and that his best position is playing behind a traditional number nine rather than leading the attack alone.
It mentioned that Dominic Solanke appeared not ready enough in his five league matches, while Richarlison remains out of the team's plans.
Nicolo Tresoldi had an outstanding season with Club Brugge in the 2025/2026 campaign, scoring 23 goals and providing 9 assists in 58 matches.
The 22-year-old player demonstrated his scoring prowess this season by netting 5 goals in 9 matches.
