Mahmoud El-Khatib, Chairman of Al-Ahly's Board of Directors, and his deputy Yassin Mansour held a meeting with Sayed Abdel Hafez, board member and supervisor of the football sector, along with the technical staff and players.
During the meeting, El-Khatib reaffirmed his full confidence in all components of the team's structure and their ability to achieve the best results across various competitions. He highlighted the importance of the upcoming phase, which requires unity and solidarity for the sake of Al-Ahly fans, who represent the main support and backbone for the club, the technical staff, and the players.
Al-Ahly defeated Enppi by three goals to two in their opening match of the Egyptian Premier League season.
The Al-Ahly team resumed training on Tuesday evening at the Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium in Gezira, preparing for their match against ZED, after the players had a day off on Monday.
For his part, Yassin Mansour emphasized that the coming period presents numerous challenges for the team, thereby increasing the responsibility on everyone to exert maximum effort for the club. He noted the continued support from the Board of Directors and the entire football sector for the technical staff and players, aiming to provide an appropriate environment to compete strongly for all titles.
Sayed Abdel Hafez, in turn, stressed the importance and necessity of embodying Al-Ahly's character, working with a collective spirit, standing united as one, and delivering performances befitting the club and its fans, who deserve much more.
Al-Ahly secured their second consecutive victory against Enppi after failing to win in five consecutive matches against them across all competitions.
Hussein Amotta's first match as Al-Ahly's head coach witnessed a comeback after trailing by two goals, enabling the team to join the league leaders.
Al-Ahly is preparing to face ZED next Friday in the second round of the league.
Meanwhile, Enppi will host Wadi Degla on the same day.
