Al-Nasr Club succeeded in surpassing its neighbor and traditional rival Al-Hilal in the AFC Champions League Elite early, a few days before the draw for the league stage.
The draw for the AFC Champions League Elite will be held next Tuesday at the Asian Football Confederation headquarters in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
A few days before the draw, the Asian Football Confederation revealed the paths of the 32 clubs participating in the league stage, with 16 clubs in the West region and the same number in the East.
For the West region, the 16 clubs were divided into 4 levels, with each team playing 8 matches against opponents from each level, without facing any team from its own country, and the top 8 teams will qualify for the round of 16.

Strangely, Al-Hilal, the most crowned club in the history of the AFC Champions League, was placed in the third tier, alongside Qatari club Al-Gharafa, Iranian Tractor, and Emirati Al-Wasl.
Two Saudi clubs surpassed Al-Hilal in the ranking, starting with Al-Ahli, the winner of the last two editions, who came in the first tier alongside Emirati Al-Ain, Qatari Al-Sadd, and Iranian Esteghlal.
The second club was Al-Nasr, returning to participate in the Elite tournament after missing the previous edition, coming in the second tier alongside Uzbek Neftchi Baku, Iraqi Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, and Emirati Shabab Al-Ahli.
As for the other two Saudi clubs, Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah, they were placed in the fourth tier alongside Qatari Al-Shamal and Uzbek Pakhtakor.
