The former president of the Egyptian Football Association, Major General Youssef El-Dahshouri Harb, passed away today, Friday, after a rich career of giving to Egyptian sports.
The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, headed by Hani Abu Rida, offered condolences on the death of Major General Youssef El-Dahshouri Harb.
The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, the Secretary General, the Technical Director of the Association, the heads of the committees, the directors of departments, the members of the technical staff of the national teams, and the employees of the Association also mourned, with great sadness and sorrow, Major General Youssef El-Dahshouri, one of the symbols of Egyptian football who contributed to its advancement since he was a player for Tersana Club and the Egyptian national team, up to the presidency of the Egyptian Football Association in a journey during which he achieved many achievements that Egyptian football will remain proud of for generations.
El-Dahshouri Harb is considered one of the most frequent holders of the presidency of the Egyptian Football Association, as he assumed the presidency for the first time by appointment on October 4, 1992, and continued until October 1993, and the second time as an elected president during the period from October 1993 until June 1996, he returned again for the third time also by appointment during the period from August 3, 1999 until August 2, 2000, and the fourth and last time he assumed the presidency of the association by election on October 27, 2000, until March 2004
Mahmoud El-Khatib, President of Al-Ahly Club, and the members of the Board of Directors, and the Executive Management, also mourned on the official page of Al-Ahly Club, with great sadness and sorrow, the death of Major General Youssef El-Dahshouri Harb, praying to the Almighty God - to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy, and admit him to His spacious gardens, and inspire the honorable family with patience and solace.
