Youssef El-Dahshoury Harb, the former president of the Football Association, passed away this Friday morning at the age of 85.
His son Mohamed El-Dahshoury announced via his Facebook account: "My father, my beloved, and my support, Major General Youssef El-Dahshoury Harb, is in the mercy of God."
The son of El-Dahshoury Harb revealed the funeral date: "The funeral prayer after Friday prayer at Al-Mushir Mosque."
The official account of the Football Association also mourned the death of El-Dahshoury Harb.
El-Dahshoury Harb assumed the presidency of the Football Association temporarily from August 3, 1999 until August 2, 2000, succeeding the council of Samir Zaher, which departed following the heavy loss to Saudi Arabia in the 99 Confederations Cup.
El-Dahshoury Harb returned as president of the union on a permanent basis in October 2000 after winning the elections, and continued until 2004.
He also began his football career as a player for Tersana Club in the historic sixties generation.
He also played for the Egyptian national team during the same period.
