Dean Huijsen, the Real Madrid player, spoke about his happiness in wearing the number 4 shirt with the Royal Club, confirming that this number holds a special place for him due to the history of the legends who wore it before.
Huijsen said via his "Instagram" account: "It has always been my dream to play for Real Madrid and wear the number 4 shirt; since I was young, my idol was Sergio Ramos, who wore the number 4 and was a true legend for Real Madrid and world football".
He added: "I still remember when he played in SR4 boots because I wanted to be like him, and before him another football legend wore the number, Fernando Hierro, with Real Madrid and world football, and this makes it more special for me because he is from Malaga like me".
The Spanish defender continued: "After that, another great legend in football wore the number, and I had the honor of sharing the dressing room with him; David Alaba was undoubtedly one of the best teammates and people I have known in this sport. He always worked hard and was always there to help everyone with his experience and leadership".
Huijsen directed a message of thanks to all elements of Real Madrid and its fans, saying: "I want to thank the club, the president, the coach, the players and all the fans of this great club; I know that this number carries a history full of legends, and I hope to be able to write my own story and that people one day consider me worthy of wearing this shirt and this number".
