Mundo Deportivo reported that Dutch Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong may return to full group training in about a month.
The report clarified that de Jong is expected to participate in training after the end of the international break on October 8.
The Barcelona player is targeting a return to La Liga matches around October 10 or 11, according to the report.
This is if things go well and he responds to the conservative treatment according to the planned schedule.
The Catalan club previously clarified that medical tests confirmed de Jong suffered a tear in the medial collateral ligament of his right knee, without revealing his expected time away from the pitch.
De Jong had started all of the Netherlands' World Cup matches before their campaign ended on June 30.
The player later explained that the national team's medical staff had not accurately assessed the injury, noting that he felt able to play without it worsening.
De Jong has suffered from a history of injuries recently, having been absent for about two months last season due to a thigh muscle injury.
