The Spanish Football Federation announced just now the date of the draw for the 2026/2027 Copa del Rey tournament, which will be played in the upcoming period.
The Copa del Rey is considered one of the most prestigious tournaments in Europe. Real Sociedad won the title last season after defeating Atlético Madrid on penalties in the final, following a 2-2 draw at the end of regular time.
Date of the Copa del Rey Draw
The Spanish Federation confirmed that the Copa del Rey draw will take place on October 5th at 12:00 PM Egypt and Saudi Arabia time.
The events of the Copa del Rey draw will be broadcast via the official channels of the Spanish Football Federation.

This is the 123rd edition of the Copa del Rey, while the first round draw of the competition will be held with the participation of 116 clubs in the local tournament.
The first round draw of the Copa del Rey will exempt four clubs from playing in this stage: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, along with Real Sociedad, the defending champions from last season. These four teams will begin their journey in the competition starting from the Round of 32.
As in previous years, matches in the early rounds will be played at the stadiums of the lower-ranked teams, while the preliminary round matches of the Copa del Rey will be played on October 3rd and 4th. The number of matches in the first round amounts to 56.
Barcelona is the most successful team in the history of the Copa del Rey, with 32 titles, followed by Athletic Bilbao with 24 titles, then Real Madrid in third place with 20 titles.
