Press reports revealed a decisive meeting between Brazilian international Vinicius Junior, first-team footballer at Real Madrid club, and the white club's management to discuss his future.
It is known that the Brazilian star's current contract with Real Madrid will expire in June 2027, i.e. the end of next season, without any agreement between the two parties so far regarding a new deal.
Real Madrid is preparing to enter a new season under the leadership of veteran Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, attempting to forget what the white team endured in the past two seasons.
Real Madrid spent two consecutive barren seasons and lacked the dominance and character it always enjoyed in decisive encounters, especially Clásico matches against Barcelona.
The Catalan newspaper "Sport" said that Vinicius Junior will return to Real Madrid team training on Monday morning to begin the preparatory period for the new 2026/2027 season under the leadership of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.

The Catalan newspaper quoted the Spanish newspaper "AS" as saying that the Brazilian player wants to speak first with Jose Mourinho, after which he will meet with Real Madrid management to discuss renewing his contract.
It reported that the club wants Vinicius to stay but at the same time wants a final answer before the transfer window reopens to make any decisions.
According to what "The Athletic" newspaper said earlier, Real Madrid offered 20 million euros net per season, which Vinicius's agents rejected; the request includes a renewal bonus, something Real Madrid has never done in its history.
"Sport" stressed that all eyes are on the next 48 hours and what the meeting between Mourinho and Vinicius will conclude, after which the Brazilian player's future will be decided, whether by renewing his contract or leaving.
