Press reports have revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the son of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, has been excluded from the Portugal under-16 national team squad, in a new development concerning his international career at youth levels.
According to the Portuguese newspaper "Record," Cristiano Jr. will not be included in the Portugal under-16 squad for the upcoming tournament, having previously featured with the team during the recent period.
The son of the Portugal captain had become one of the notable names in the youth national teams after starting to represent Portugal with the under-15 team, before being promoted to the under-16 team.
Cristiano Jr. participated with the Portugal under-16 team in several matches during 2026 and also appeared in international tournaments for this age group.
This exclusion comes at a time when his father's career with the senior national team is receiving significant attention, especially as Cristiano Ronaldo left the Portugal camp following tensions with coach Jorge Jesus.
