Zamalek will enter the new season with the same current squad, due to being subjected to a disciplinary registration suspension penalty for two transfer periods, from the International Federation of Football.

Matters worsened inside the White Citadel after the rebellion of Brazilian player Juan Bezerra, who is requesting to leave in order to join the ranks of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai.
Shabab Al Ahli Dubai had submitted an offer to sign the Brazilian winger, but Zamalek set its demands for releasing the player, which the Emirati club did not meet, leading Zamalek to announce the closure of this file and reject the player's departure due to his failure to return to Egypt and his absence from the team's camp.
Bezerra was not the only absentee, as Chico Banza has not yet returned to Egypt, amid reports that he notified Zamalek officials of the delay in his return more than once, while Abdullah El Said has also not yet joined the camp.
El Said's agent, in an official statement, revealed that no communication had taken place between the club's officials and the player, confirming a lack of professionalism on the part of the White Citadel's management, and also demanded that officials deal with the player in a manner befitting him.
The White Team is still searching for the appointment of a new sports director following the departure of John Edward from his position, as the club's management has not announced the identity of the new sports director or whether the position will continue, after it confirmed in an official statement that the board of directors is in permanent session to arrange football matters and that the name of the new sports director for the football sector will be announced soon.
