Confusion among Saudi league clubs due to the suspension of approvals for signing new foreign players.

Via FilGoal

Several clubs in the Saudi league have complained about the suspension of their requests to register new foreign players, in preparation for the new season, by the Saudi League Association.

This has affected their arrangements for the preparation period and external camps, according to Al-Riyadiyah newspaper.

The report explained that one of the league clubs submitted requests to register a number of its new foreign players, but they are still pending with the association, preventing the completion of the contracts' procedures definitively.

It added that the inability to complete the player registration procedures so far negatively affects the team's plans before the preparation period begins.

It pointed out that the delay in completing the registration procedures threatens the preparation programs for the new season, as the start of external camps approaches, which depend on the completion of player lists before traveling.

The report mentioned that some clubs are demanding more clarity regarding the procedures followed and the mechanism for approving registrations during the summer transfer period.

The summer transfer period starts on July 22 and continues until September 2, as announced by the Professionalism and Player Status Committee in the Saudi Football Federation.
