Ahmed Samir, the head coach of ZED Club, spoke about his team's victory over AS Telecom of Djibouti in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
ZED Club defeated Telecom 4-0 in the first-leg match held between the two teams today, Sunday, at Cairo International Stadium.
Samir said in statements to "On Sport" channel: "A successful start for ZED and the entire system. Congratulations to the players, the technical staff, the management, and everyone affiliated with ZED."

He added: "We spoke with the players about the necessity of winning and achieving a positive result in our first African participation; it was essential to leave a strong impression."
He concluded: "Our goal is to reach the group stage of the Confederation Cup and write history for ZED in the African tournament."
ZED is scheduled to face AS Telecom of Djibouti in the second leg of the Round of 64 of the CAF Confederation Cup next Saturday.
