Dominik Szoboszlai, the Liverpool star, raised more mystery about what happened at the end of last Thursday's match against Wrexham, as part of the friendly preparations for the new season.
Liverpool played their second friendly match in the early hours of Thursday morning against Wrexham, where they achieved a 1-0 victory, scored by Rio Ngumoha.
After the match, videos emerged showing a verbal altercation between Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai and Kostas Tsimikas over the captain's armband, as the first wanted to obtain it, while the Hungarian gave it to the latter (to read the details from here).
Szoboszlai was asked about what happened, where he cleverly dodged the question and said: "Some players have left, perhaps we are not the oldest players in the team but we have been here for a long time".
He added: "For example, there is Florian Wirtz, Mac Allister if he returns, Isak, there is also definitely Van Dijk, Alisson and Joe Gomez, we are all in the same boat, we want the best for the club and for each other".
He continued: "We have a captain, Van Dijk, we will always follow him, we will adhere to his instructions and the coach's instructions as well, I think I can speak on behalf of everyone and confirm that we want to achieve success this season".
