Ahmed Hossam Mido, the former star of Zamalek Club and the Egyptian national team, attacked the members of the Zamalek Club Board of Directors because of the football company, confirming that they do not understand football and that their ambitions and goal since running for office is to interfere in technical decisions.
Mido said in televised statements via Al-Nahar channel: "Some say that investors do not want to invest in Zamalek Club because of its many problems, but this is not true. Investors dream and wish to invest in the club, and this is an honor for any investor".
He added: "I was pleased when Zamalek announced that there would be a football company and a football sector, and it would officially separate from the club's board of directors. Zamalek has suffered a lot because of the board members' interference in technical decisions".
He continued: "There are decisions that should not be made by a man who has not played football, and these decisions are implemented merely because they were voted on. The board members of Zamalek, among their goals and ambitions since the time of candidacy, is to interfere in technical decisions".

He continued: "The members think they understand football like the big players, and they deal with the logic of 'you will understand more than me?' and this is a mistake. Everyone has their specialty. It is not right for me to correct Amr El-Genainy on matters related to banks".
He concluded: "Al-Ahly always has a football committee and separates the football sector from the board of directors no matter the member's name, and this is the great success achieved by Saleh Selim at Al-Ahly, and all administrations have followed his approach".
