The report indicated that the Portuguese club is insistent on its position, demanding full payment of the penalty clause in Costa's contract, amounting to 60 million euros.

The report added that Xabi Alonso is very impressed with the Portuguese goalkeeper's abilities.

The report continued that Porto does not intend to negotiate on reducing the price of the Portuguese goalkeeper, and expects the goalkeeper's price to rise further after the 2026 World Cup.

The report stressed that French club Paris Saint-Germain may also enter the race to sign the Portuguese goalkeeper, as they are closely following the situation.

Costa rose to Porto's first team at the beginning of the 2019-20 season.

The Portuguese goalkeeper participated in 49 matches with Porto, in all competitions, in the past season.
