Chelsea Football Club issued an official statement in response to sanctions from the English Football Association regarding breaches of the agent regulations stipulated in the competition rules.
Chelsea reached a financial settlement worth £10 million with the English Football Association, and a suspended ban on player registrations was imposed for two transfer windows due to violations of the regulations related to (player agents - working with intermediaries - third-party investment in players).
The English Football Association referred 74 violations to Chelsea Football Club in relation to Rule (E1.2) after Clearlake-Boehly self-reported serious misconduct for previous breaches under the former owner, Russian Roman Abramovich.
For its part, Chelsea acknowledged the 74 violations, and as a result an independent regulatory commission initially imposed a six-point deduction, which was to be suspended until 30 June 2027.
The London club successfully appealed the suspended points deduction, and instead the appeals commission imposed a ban on registrations for two full consecutive transfer windows, suspended until 30 June 2027.
The English Football Association also continues to investigate individual misconduct arising from this case.

Chelsea issued an official statement which read: "Chelsea Football Club is pleased to confirm that a final decision has been reached by the judicial bodies of the English Football Association regarding historical regulatory issues self-reported by the club".
It added: "In 2022, the club self-reported potential historical breaches of the rules to all relevant regulatory bodies; following that report, the club has worked openly and transparently with all regulatory bodies, including the voluntary and proactive disclosure of thousands of documents".
It continued: "As previously announced, settlement agreements were entered into with UEFA and the Premier League regarding the same self-reported regulatory issues and matters previously addressed".
It went on: "The London club is pleased to confirm that the English Football Association's review process has now concluded and all regulatory proceedings against the club are due to end".
It added: "We are grateful to UEFA, the Premier League and the English Football Association for their cooperation with the club throughout these processes".
