Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher refused to consider French international winger Bradley Barcola the ideal alternative to Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah, stressing the need to sign a right winger.
Liverpool approached signing Barcola, the first-team player of Paris Saint-Germain football club, and according to the latest reports, the financial value of the deal reaches 150 million euros.
Mohamed Salah left the ranks of the Liverpool team after the end of last season due to the dispute between him and Dutch coach Arne Slot, who also left the team.
Liverpool wants to compensate for the departure of one of the club's most important legends throughout its history, especially with the presence of a new era for the team under the leadership of Spanish coach Andoni Iraola.

Carragher said, in statements via the British newspaper "Daily Mail": "Barcola the ideal alternative to Salah? No, he is a left winger, we need a right winger."
He added: "Liverpool currently has three players who can play on the left: Rio Ngumoha, Gakpo and Wirtz, and there is no player who plays from the right."
He stressed: "Rio has always played on the left side, so it is clear that this is his best position."
He added: "Gakpo should move to the right side but I am interested to know where Wirtz will play?"
He concluded: "Szoboszlai represents the role of the manager on the pitch and is indispensable, I am not sure about that, we desperately need a right winger."
