The African Football Confederation, CAF, revealed the holding of a press conference to discuss some issues related to African football.
Hani Abu Rida, the head of the Football Association, had submitted a request during the past days to the African Confederation to increase the number of seats for clubs participating in the African championships in the next season.

According to what CAF mentioned in an official statement, the President of the African Football Confederation, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, will hold a press conference in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Wednesday, July 22, at exactly 12:00 noon Cairo time.
The President of the Confederation, Dr. Motsepe, will speak to media representatives about a number of issues related to CAF and African football, including a review of the performance of African teams in the last World Cup (FIFA 2026), in addition to many other developments and updates in the African Confederation and African football.
It is worth noting that the clubs participating in the African championships in the next season are Zamalek and Pyramids in the African Champions League, and Al-Ahly and Ceramica Cleopatra in the Confederation.
