The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced that it has received official letters from "FIFA" regarding the initiative to increase funding within the "FIFA Forward" program.
"FIFA", headed by Gianni Infantino, presented a new project, which is the establishment of a new commercial company to private sector investors in order to increase funding in football.
"FIFA" confirmed that these investments, in addition to other current programs, may raise the total funding allocated for the development of the game to more than 10 billion dollars over the next four years.
In this context, the President of the African Football Confederation, Patrice Motsepe, will hold a meeting of the Executive Committee next week to study and evaluate this proposal, as well as its effects on the development of football.
The African Football Confederation also calls on all member federations to study the FIFA project and participate in the consultation process, in accordance with the regulations and procedures established by CAF and the International Federation of Football.
The African Confederation reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining close dialogue with member federations, the International Federation of Football, other continental federations, and all relevant parties.
The goal of this is to enhance the financial resources and other means allocated for the development and growth of football, whether in Africa or at the global level.
