The African Football Confederation "CAF" revealed the date of the draw for the preliminary round of the African Champions League and the African Confederation Cup, which is scheduled to be held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
Zamalek and Pyramids participate in the African Champions League, while Al-Ahly and ZED appear in the African Confederation Cup next season.
Champions League and Confederation Cup draw
The two tournaments, the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup, start from the preliminary round, and the draw will be held next Thursday, corresponding to the sixth of August, at the headquarters of the African Football Confederation in Cairo.
The Confederation Cup draw starts at exactly two o'clock in the afternoon Cairo time, followed by the African Champions League draw at three in the afternoon, to determine the starting kick for the clubs participating in the two competitions.
The draw for the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup will be broadcast via the "CAF" channel on YouTube, in order to provide viewing for all fans on the African continent.
CAF competitions prizes
The winning team in the African Champions League receives a financial prize estimated at 6 million dollars, while the winner of the African Confederation Cup championship receives a prize worth 4 million dollars.
"CAF" grants the clubs participating in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League and Confederation Cup a financial prize of 100 thousand dollars, as part of the African Football Confederation's support for all clubs participating in continental competitions.
