Fabian Hürzeler, Brighton's manager, believes that Yakuba Minteh must succeed again to realize his dream of joining Liverpool.
Liverpool attempted to sign Minteh during the last summer transfer window, but Brighton rejected the offer and insisted on keeping the player.
The German coach stated during the press conference: "Regarding Yakuba Minteh not joining Liverpool? If the entire team succeeds once again, Minteh will attract attention anew, and perhaps he can achieve his dream in the upcoming transfer window."
Brighton is preparing to face their rival Leeds United in a match scheduled for next Saturday in the third round of the English Premier League.
According to earlier reports by The Sun newspaper, Liverpool offered £50 million to sign the player, an offer which Brighton rejected.
Minteh is under contract with Brighton until 2029 and is known for playing on the right wing.
Minteh joined Brighton from Newcastle in the summer of 2024 for a fee of £30 million.
He has scored 9 goals and provided 8 assists in 66 Premier League matches for Brighton.
