Sufian Benjdida, the first-team player of Al-Ahly Club, wasted a penalty kick in Al-Ahmar’s ongoing friendly against Spanish side Badalona, as part of preparations for the new season competitions.

Al-Ahly Club faces the Spanish team Badalona this evening, Wednesday, in a friendly match during Al-Ahmar’s training camp in Spain, in preparation for the 2026-2027 season competitions.

Al-Ahly Club was awarded a penalty kick during the first half; Sufian Benjdida stepped up to take it but directed it toward the center of the goal, allowing Jaime, Badalona’s goalkeeper who plays in the Spanish Football Federation’s third division, to save it.

The first half of the Al-Ahly versus Badalona match ended in a goalless draw, while the second half is currently underway, with Al-Ahmar aiming to extend its winning run in friendly matches after previous victories over Al-Nasr Sports, La Vina, and Petrol Asyut.

It is noted that the 25-year-old Moroccan striker Sufian Benjdida transferred to Al-Ahly during the current summer transfer window, arriving from Maghreb Fès.

Al-Ahly is scheduled to conclude its camp in Spain with a match against Barcelona on August 19 at Camp Nou Stadium for the Joan Gamper Cup friendly tournament.
