Former Egyptian football star Bassem Morsi spoke about Zamalek's participation in the African Champions League next season, and Al Ahly's participation in the Confederation Cup.
Bassem Morsi said in statements on the "Modern" channel: "Zamalek Club can win any championship as it is a big team, and the best evidence of that is last season it qualified for the Confederation final and won the league championship and presented a miraculous season".

He added: "Al Ahly is a big team and it is required to win the Confederation title after suffering a major failure last season, Al Ahly must accept the idea of playing in the Confederation, which is an international championship and I wish them success and to win the title".
He continued: "Al Ahly has played in the Confederation Championship before and participating in it is not new to it (not strange to it), it is normal for it to participate in the Confederation because it is the third place holder".
